I think some people fall into a trap of "mainstream" so they have a narrow mind and are not usually well rounded...in other words they are shallow or inexperienced in life...
You don't have to be with the in crowd to have value.
Sounds to me that if you have the faculties to ask this question ...you are already 10 steps ahead of these people who are in the so-called "in-crowd"
My guess is that you are still in junior high or high school and believe me as you get older people become much more understanding of other peoples differences.

I think it's an internal thing. Nobody can make me "feel" anything I don't allow them to do. I used to feel out of place with everyone and everything, until I learned that I have the right to be here and so do they. I changed the way I see life, people are still going to do as they please, but I don't have to feel or react to their actions. I feel comfortable in my own skin today, and people seem to notice, my insecurities are tucked away until I give people permission to bring them out. Good Luck, and God Bless!

because maximum persons of society is biased. And stupid. they have self assurance that if every person is diverse than they are, then the guy isn't worth of belonging. i'm sorry that it occurs to you. i understand a lady who's bipolar, and persons in our college continually take care of her like she's a ailment or some thing. i imagine that it is ridiculous. possibly quicker or later human beings will stop being stupid. lots of tremendous fortune. <3

People are petty, immature and tactless beings. They jump at any opportunity they are granted to make someone else feel like dirt just so that they can build up their own self-esteem. Think of it as sort of how vampires or succubi operate...if they didn't have blood or souls to suck out, they would serve no purpose.

It could be they secretly believe that you are a better person then they are...
And that leaves them feeling somehow vulnerable, and banding together is a protection mechanism.
Drinkers and people into drugs use this alot.
It is called the "line drawing game

being a teenager thier are so many insecurities (even the "in" crowd have em) and they tend to vent them, by being spiety and cruel, plus teens havnt yet learned that it is none of thier business what everyone else is doing...that is something that you learn with time.....cliques are like thier security blankets...they tend to be more comfortable with thier pack....girls are the worst for it...we're way worse then guys!!

Ignorance and being self centered are two of the reasons people do this. Being cruel is their way of boosting their low self esteem.

For someone to put down another makes them feel better about themselves. People like that are miserable.

Someone who is unique, talented, and intelectual is always intimidating to those who envy them, so the only way for those people to get over it is to make the outcasts think "they" are the ones who are useless.
