I dont recommend spray but a gel. Its not invasive like a spray its non toxic and you simply squirt this gel near where they harbour..places that contain water and in the kitchen and bathroom adn wherever else they may harbour..its a few simple squirts and it works wonders. One roach will eat the gel and forty will die per roach that dies..if you get the drift..i had it used and it killed the roaches in my home with in a few days and they never came back and nothing was fumigated..the gel is called maxpace gel and if you research it and buy it online then i think it will be very successful.

Hey!
I have over 10 year of experience with various pests being a home owner and DIY'er.
So what is the best roach spray?
I would recommend for on the spot killing a passing or caught roach in the home a all natural spray is the Eco PCO ACU aerosol. Then there is the Cy-Kick areosal is the best at dropping any spider or insect intruder!
The next step is preventing the roaches! I would go with a roach kit! The kit protects you in every possible way thinkable.
But I found my favorite products at this site: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/roach-spray-c-2_71.html
They caught my eye on the free shipping and then the 30 day return policy. They have tons of products to choose from on roaches so check them out for yourself.
My thanks!
Chris

Go to Walmart or larger grocery store as Kroger & get a product in box called roach hotel $8-$10 dollars & will have 6-8 little black disk, these you'll slide under your fridge & under sink & stove. They crawl into them & are toxic, the nasty roaches do not come out but die in there.
Also get an empty spray bottle fill w/1/3 of clorox bleach & finish filling w/water. Roaches hate bleach & this will surely kill them. Spray this along baseboards under appliances, spray it on the counters at night (remember to scrub off w/soapy water next day).
Roaches love under the fridge because of the water pan,so empty & wash it & clean under the fridge w/rubber gloves on & a big rag soaking in the soapy bleach water.
I killed the biggest roaches I ever saw at rental property I bought. I did have an exterminator & he couldn't believe I got rid of them. The place was filthy nasty in kitchen from dropped food & crumbs & I scrubbed every inch w/hot soapy water & bleach in a bucket. Then I sprayed the bleach mixture as directed to mix above all around the edges where wall meets the floor, under the sink, behind the stove, every area. The exterminator put little sticky traps under my appliances for a test & returned a week later & not one bug had crawled & gotten stuck in the trap. He definitely wanted to know what I used.My inexpensive answer was hot soapy bleach water. He was amazed.

Malathion in a sprayer. Buy both at Home Depot. Malathion quart is about $15, and sprayer is about $4. Spray all crevices and in cabinets. Be consistant for two weeks and you will see a dramatic drop in population.
Also sprinkle Boric Acid under stove and fridge and inside base cabinets.

I would say to shower him again but this time with Dove soap bar this really helps gets the cat's skin free of any harmful substance. This works on dogs too if you have any dogs that ever get sprayed or roll in any toxic stuff. Feed your cat water just in case he inhaled the aroma , also check eyes for any sign or irritation if they seem odd then wash his eyes and if your not satisfied take him to the vet. You shouldn't use toxic's around the house with pets.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk
