While you can still see, arrange your beer in the refrigerator so you can find it easily. Then put the gerbil outside to play with the neighborhood cats.

I agree that you should arrange your beer in the refrigerator so that it is easy to reach, but then maybe you should just try popping your own eye out... then you won't have to worry about it anymore
