I grew up in Washington State, and when I was a teenager in the '90's, I remember it being a basic cable channel. Whatever hapened to it? Is it still around?

well i remember the family channel it was called fox family channel. it changed its name recently to abc family

If you mean the ABC Family channel yes it's still on , at least here in Michigan.

Family channel has change names now it is disney family channel. But I believe there is another company buy it now

Still there. I watch it frequently. It is an affiliate of ABC. They still have good shows there.
