Run lots of spyware and anty-virus programs before you get online. Something may be causing this. Also, while disconnected from the internet, clear your internet browser's cache. Assuming you have internet explorer, go to:

Tools --> Internet Options --> Delete Cookies --> Delete Temporary Files --> Clear History.

This should help things out. Also, go to your add/remove programs in your control panel. Look for any toolbars or any other internet related (and non-internet related) programs that you didn't install and seem strange and wierd to you and uninstall them. (Just make sure they aren't important to your computers stability or it is something that you are supposed to have but you just dont recongnize it)

You didn't say what browser you are using. Whichever it is, I would uninstall it. Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Then download it, or a different browser, and install.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
