I'd say Mary...even though Carol has the military background-so tactics would be superior
Mary has that same powers as Capt. marvel and that ain't bad at all! Can give superman a run for the $$$.

I wonder why nobody thought of this one before! The thought of those two hotties duking it out brings a smile.
Well, let's see. I hear that Carol Danvers is back as Warbird, after having been Binary. But you specify her as Ms. Marvel. So we'll go with her in that incarnation, using her original powers before Rogue sucked her down to empty.
Ms. Marvel had a 'seventh sense' which warned her of future evnts; while perhaps not as valuable as Spider Man's danger sense, this might give her an edge over Mary.
Mary Marvel has virtually all the same powers as Captain (Shazam) Marvel. She is capable of trans light speeds and has Superman class strength. Also, Mary is traditionally not extremely violent... she tends to use her wisdom (from Minerva, not Solomon) to avoid having to hit people if possible. So unless Carol attacked Mary, I think she would avoid fighting.
Also, Ms. Marvel did have some military tactical background, which is something that Mary Marvel lacks entirely.
On the other hand, I can't believe that strength was the ONLY thing that Mary Marvel got from Hippolyta (the amazon queen, as they were supposed to be fierce warriors.)
My impression was at first to say Ms. Marvel, but now I am beginning to think that Mary Marvel would have the better chance.
All I can say is, I wouldn't kick either one of them out!

Depends..is this Ms Marvel before or after Rogue permanently took her powers? Because the cartoon had Carol Danvers in a hospital w/ amnesia after her run in w/ Rogue. So before Rogue, Id say Ms Marvel. But Mary afterwards

it is so hard to compare DC to Marvel because DC characters are so much more powerful... so as it stands, mary would win no problem... but in an alternate world where both might exist, their powers would probably be comparable, and Ms would have the skill advantage... either way, you boys would enjoy the catfight :)
