Don't you agree that history proves that democrats have much more financial common sense than do republicans?

While I am overwhelmed with glee that we have taken back the House as well as the Senate. I am also glad that we will soon be working to fix the budget, However I must say this, " A substantial tax increase will be necessary to overcome this enormous debt the Republican party has put us in!" I just love it when those Republicans Say " Those dirty democrats will raise your taxes" After of course the Republicans have spent every damn dollar we had and somehow managed to funnel it back to their own bank accounts. Maybe the democrats wouldn't have to raise taxes every damn time they got in office if those Dumb @$$ Republicans would stop giving ridiculously huge tax breaks to the wealthy and stop spending like there is no tomorrow. So far I have yet to read in history where a republican balanced the budget, they always leave office with a huge deficit. Then a democrat takes over, raises taxes ( because they don't have a choice) and all the Republicans go " SEE,SEE, WE TOLD YOU SO!"

Hey Republicans,
Somebody has to pay the bills or the lights get turned off!

Polls prepare that Reps are forward. The financial equipment has gotten worse, and a million in 10 are unemployed and a pair of in 10 are underemployed. Thats 30% of the working people. those are certain jobs against the party in potential.

Yup, I'm happy the Democrats won and hope they don't mess up this opportunity to turn things around. As for them being fiscally more responsible....sorry, I don't buy that. I hope this Congress will be more responsible than what we've had, but the D's and the R's have always found ways to waste money IMHO.

yes.....the reps claim the dem's raise taxes etc but its been ages since they have raised taxes. the last major tax raise was by bush back in the 90's even after he stated "mark my words, no new taxes" and the highest tax increase in history was also done by republicans.

they are big biz, big money, they look at average joe as stupid and a slave to the system that feeds them. least now we have some actual control and less spending.

but still....the people need to start standing up and doing more, taking more power back....government has way to much.

I am Happy, Happy, Happy. With the Democrats in the House , there is some relief in sight. If President Bush , will just join in now and do his job, we can become a safe , happy country again.

They have no history of it. They tax and spend. They will continue to.

Time for the conservatives to take the country back.
