No, I'm not, but the other day I watched a show about having trouble getting started peeing and they said you should get checked for BHP.
So, I've made an appt. to get my prostate checked out.

Yeah I totally am... and I know it through and through. I'm always looking for a medical reason for every last thing that goes awry with my body. I think it has a lot to do with how I was raised... My husband was raised very differently from myself and his take on his health and how he reacts to colds etc. is pretty much the polar opposite of mine. I don't think it's a socio-political thing... I just think my parents grew up in a time when there were a lot more illnesses out there, and less preventatives and available treatments (my parents were much older when I was born)... I think that in-turn led them to be a bit over-reactive and hyper-protective of their children's health (which in turn gave me a bit of a complex... how very Freudian of me!). Cheers!

I don't think most hypochondriacs think they are. They genuinely think they are ill. I do know a fair few though so I guess it is a real problem.

No, i try not to complain unless I'm really sick and even then I keep it at a minimum. I know people who are though and I'd like to kick them in the knee cap so they would have something to really whine over!

Nope. Hate hospitals or even sitting around in a waiting room to see a doctor.

Not at all. I have to be wheeled into the doctor's office and I never take meds unless I absolutely HAVE to.

I am not, but I have known one for a long time. Now he's actually been diagnosed with something. I think he must've thought, "HA! I knew it!" at first, until it sunk in. Now he's sorry.

I am not. In fact, I do things that I know are bad for my long term survival. And when I feel pain, I tell myself it is nothing.
