I had stitches and about 2 days after it was removed the incision line started to open back up (just a small wound). Its the weekend so I can't call the doctor so I did some research online. A lot of people said to use medical tape because the doctor won't restitch the same spot. How long do I keep the medical tape on before the wound closes on its own?

The great thing about medical tape is that you don't have to worry about when to take it off. It will come off on it's own when it is ready. What you'll start to notice is that the tape will start peeling up around the edges. Just trim it off with scissors. Eventually it will fall off. Also, do your best to keep the area covered loosely with a dry gauze or bandage, and try to keep it dry.
