Counter Strike hacking question?

I heard it was possible for someone to hack into your computer while playing on counter strike 1.6 servers. I have even heard form people saying that they have had there comptuers hacking playing in the game and things like their CD ROMs opening and other such things. Is this true? And if so where could i go to learn more about these vulnerabilities and ways to do it myself? Any help?

Those people have obviously no internet security running. They probably got infected while looking at sites they weren't supposed to.

As for the opening cd-roms etc, yes it's possible, but not through counter strike.
