How do I delete previous searches on my google homepage?

i asked this about an hour ago, but im still confused as to where the tools button is and where clear private data is.. Someone please help!!

Just highlight the search that you want to delete. (don't click on it) Then, click the delete button.....the highlighted seach will be gone. Do that for each search that you want to lose.
