Yes, the ladies who answered before me, told you I think pretty well. I also think that always pads are good, especially those with wings. Change them every 4 hours during the day and more often if needed.
Also higien is very important while having your period. Wash yourself (down), minimum two times a day, or more often if needed or when you can do it, especially in summer. It will preven blood stick and dry to your body. and also from becoming really badly smelly.

try and get some pads. if u go to the store i say get the always pads. there good for first timers. there small so if u have to take them to school the hole world won't see them. oh and don't think that just because it doesn't look like u still have ur period that u don't a lot of the time u get like after effects. that's were in the morning theres no blood but after a while there is. believe me that's happen to me, lol. well i hope that helps u some. good luck.

Make sure you have enough pads on hand. If not go to the store to get some. If you have cramping, you can take over the counter pain medicine made especially for cramps. You can also use a heating pad for the cramps. Just go with the flow....you'll be fine. And don't forget to carry pads with you where ever you go!

If you have some pads in the house, go get one and use it. If you don't and you don't have a way of getting them anytime soon, I'd use paper towels or toilet paper so that your underwear and pants don't get blood on them LOL I've had that almost happen to me a few times ^^; good luck, and congrats :)
