George W. Bush is no longer in charge. His father has taken control and will be running things through proxies, until his son's term runs out and he goes home to Crawford where he will spend the rest of his days frying beetles and ants with a magnifying glass.

Nice use of sexist language that isn't even up-to-date. "Broad"? Are you, like, a gumshoe from the 1930's? I didn't even know real people used that term.
Pelosi has her power thanks to the will of the people, her hard work, and the support of her party. She's done an excellent job of keeping House Democrats united, and she was one of the few to speak out against the Iraqi war from the very beginning. She's a great leader, and we're lucky to have her. As to why she's talked about all the time now, well, she's the first female Speaker of the House, which is huge. It's a position of considerable influence. Remember Newt Gingrich? Heh, as if any of us could forget. He was Speaker. Also, the Speaker of the House is next in line for the Presidency after the VP. So if something tragic or legal were to happen to Bush and Cheney, she would be president.

She is the Speaker of the House, a job that Denny Hastert, the protector of Mark Foley, couldn't handle. He has the IQ of a turnip. Pelosi is tough and smart.

Because the political party that she leads has just gained control of the House of Representative and the House of Senate. She is however no threat to your party because you guys have got Rush Limbaugh.

Why Willie, that's easy. She's about to become Speaker of the House and third in line to the Presidency herself. Tell us, Willie, why'd you decide to behave like such a sexist prick?

Let's wait and see if she can herd this mixed bunch of demo-cats in one direction before we quiver over her new found "power".
Gridlock within a political party is a realistic possibility here.
