On disney's website, they mention in the FAQ ( http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/common/helpFAQ?id=HelpFAQThemeParkPage#q13 ) that coolers are not allowed to be brought into the park, but there is no mention that food is not allowed.

You can take in your own food. They do check your bags at the front of the parks but that is not because of the food, it is because of 9/11. They will not say anything to you about bringing in food.

When I went to Disney World I did bring food. I carried a back pack with a thermos of cold iced tea, some sandwiches, fruit, cookies, and some candy bars. The sandwiches were peanut butter & jelly; cheese with lettuce & mustard, but NO meat. My sandwiches were all nice and fresh. I put a small frozen cooler-pack in to keep everything cool. Pretzels are good also. You probably would want to buy something to eat, especially after you get there and see all the goodies they have to sell. So be prepared with your lunch and snacks, and plan on buying your evening meal. There were 4 of us and it worked out fine. There is so much to see, you really won't want to eat that much.

I go to Walt Disney World every summer and I always bring my own snacks. There's never been a problem. We stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort and we always have a lot of snacks and stuff in our room. When we go to one of the parks we just pack a backpack of snack, water bottles, stuff like that. Like, we usually bring things like beef jerkey, trail mix, bags of chips, pretzels, popcorn, etc., candy, gum (since gum isn't sold anywhere at Walt Disney World to keep the entire Resort cleaner,) bottled water, Gatorade, Snapple for me, etc. When you enter one of the parks you must go through security and they check your bags. They've never said a thing about any of the food or drinks we bring. Of course, they wouldn't appreciate it if you walk up with a rolling cooler filled with pre-made sandwiches and all the food you'd need for the entire day. Obviously, they want you to at least spend some extra money. If you're nervous about them seeing the food cover it with clothes (it's a good idea to bring changes of clothes to the parks anyway in case you get wet on a water ride or sweaty waiting in line on a hot day.) Plus, they're usually trying to get through people's bags quickly, since there's so many, and they don't exactly do a thorough search.

If you have small children or any medical issues that make it necessary for you to bring your own food then it'll definitely be okay.

Correct. You cannot bring coolers into the 4 Disney theme parks or to Disneyland or California adventure. You can, however, bring them into either of the two Disneyworld Water Parks, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.

While Disney asks that you not bring outside food into the park, it can be done in moderation. You can stash a sandwich and bottled water in the bottom of your bag and then re-fill the bottle with water throughout the day to say on money.

No, they will take everything you bring except infant food. Enjoy your lunch and don't forget your bib ... LOL
Really, we ate a full breakfast and brought a couple granola bars and mints (to quench our thirst). We stayed away from the food places so the smell wouldn't bug us. We waited until late evening and grabbed a little something to carry us until close. The kids were a little cranky in the lines but we kept them entertained with quizes about Disney and singing (some even joined in). Have a great time.

They'd much prefer you buy their food. But being diabetic, I usually carry some food with me, and if anyone at the park gives me grief, I remind them that I can sue them for discrimination, and they back off.

Yes! It's called sneaking it in!

Here's a message to Disney- Lower the prices, and I'll stop sneaking my food in your high *** priced park!

Same goes for movie theatres.

As long as you have a backpack or a large purse. You can stash all kinds of things in there and then put a pair or shorts and t-shirt over it to kind of hide it. As long as you don't get caught, you can do whatever you want. I like your style, searching for the loopholes.
