Depends on the circumstances! Sometimes I like to let someone else feel really good about being knowledgeable on a subject ( especially if they are studying it) and if they feel particularly happy about knowing something thoroughly ..... I let them be happy about it.

In most situations I know more than I let on - it's easier to keep people from asking me to do things if they think I am not as intelligent as I really am. The less someone expects from you, the less they ask of you.

I do it all the time, intentionally, I usually like to see if people judge how much I know by my looks (I am a hispanic), it's fun to do so, just to see what other people I like. I usually like to listen more than I like to talk.
