well that's a good question.as u yrself hv mentioned,the country is SO BIG.well that's the hint.russia is a MULTIRACIAL country.in the russian lang itself there hav been two dif terms:Русский-Русская [russkiy-russkaya] (a man and a woman who belong to Russian {european} ethnic and Российский-Российская [rossiyskiy-rossiyskaya] (a man and woman of the/who live in the Russian Federation.he/she might be a Russian or not).according to wikipedia: As of the Russian Census (2002), 79.8% of the population is ethnically Russian, 3.8% Tatar, 2% Ukrainian, 1.2% Bashkir, 1.1% Chuvash, 0.9% Chechen, 0.8% Armenian. They just really want to be considered as Europeans.. truth is, if you go there, you will find out it is a big mix of Asian and European culture. Eastern Europe is the only right expression for it.

RUSSIA IS THE LARGEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY LIES IN ASIA, HOWEVER A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE PEOPLE LIVE IN THE EUROPEAN PORTION OF THE COUNTRY WHICH IS BORDERED BY THE URAL MOUNTAIN RANGE. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT IF YOU ASKED PEOPLE LIVING IN SIBERIA THEY WOULD SAY THAT THEY ARE ASIANS, AT THE SAME TIME ASK SOMEONE IN MOSCOW AND THEY WOULD SAY EUROPEAN.
SO THE ANSWER WOULD BE MOST ARE EUROPEANS AND A FEW VERY COLD ASIANS! RUSSIA ALSO BORDERS WITH NORTH AMERICA AT THE BERING STRAIGHT.

There European , look at Putin the president of Russia for a example he's white Caucasian . Russia is so big but most of the population of Russians mainly live in Europe so my answer is europe
