Halifax Regional Municipality, which includes Halifax, Bedford and Dartmouth, along with a number of small towns, has a population of 385,000 at last count. Halifax Metro, which are the large cities around Halifax Harbour, has a population of around 240,000. The City of Halifax (The Peninsula and H'fax West) has a population of 160,000.
