What if I mistakenly take two prenatal vitamins on the same day?

Don't worry. Taking twice the recommended amounts of these nutrients on just one day won't harm you or your baby. But doing that more often can be harmful, so it's important not to make a habit of doubling up on your prenatal supplements. If for some reason your caregiver has told you that you need more of a certain nutrient (iron or calcium, for example) than is in your prenatal vitamin, take the extra amount as a separate supplement.

Multivitamins are designed to give you what you need daily, and getting an extra dose of everything in them is definitely not better. Vitamin A is not the only nutrient you can get too much of if you regularly take extra doses.

you see it depends on what vitamin you took an excess of..B group and C vitamins are water soluble and you do not have problems if you take a lot of them while A, D and E are fat soluble and cause problems in over dosage..see the composition of the stuff you were taking...still just two tablets even if take everyday would not give rise to signs of serious toxicity especially if you are past the first trimester!

Just studying those solutions are going to provide me a nightmare considering if those musicians shaped a band. Worst Vocalist: Chad Kroeger Worst Drummer: Meg White (Although I do like The White Stripes) Worst Bassist: Nikki Sixx Worst Guitarist: Herman Lee

Nope, most vitamins are water saulable (spelled wrong I know) and you will just pee out the excess.
When I was pregnant I had very low iron so my OB had me taking 2 vitamins a day.

Since it's a vitamin, I wouldn't think it would hurt your child, but I would put in a call to your doctor as soon as possible to make sure.

One time should not be a big deal. Your body just excretes any vitamins it doesn't need. Your baby should be fine. Just be careful in the future. :)

You're fine. It might give you an upset stomach, but you'll just pee out the excess vitamins.

don't worry about it. heck, your mom didn't take prenatal vitamins at all, and even smoked and drank while she was pregnant with you, and you came out just fine, didn't you?

I don't think it would hurt your baby but I would call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Nope. You're body will naturally excrete excess vitamins.

Half your posts say you're pregant, others saying you're trying to conceive. In your earlier post, you said you were trying to conceive with your husband (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ajt1S8JIPUwS1PxmjEyR4IXsy6IX?qid=20061022161727AAbfxSs), but posts following that ask "why won't my boyfriend marry me" and "could i be pregnant?". Which is it? Try being truthful.
