I just watched him speak on a local (NYC) tv broadcast. I'm a Democrat and I loved what he (a Republican) had to say. He has tons of experience to draw upon. Would you vote for him? Would the country?

He will never, ever be elected President. Rudy, as good as he is, has wayyyyyy too much baggage.... too many skeletons in his closet.

I like him as a person, but I don't think I would vote for him. It seems like the best canidate for the republicans right now would be John McCain. Most likely, I'll vote democrat in 2008.

Nope, I wouldn't necessarily vote for him. Unless he pledged to run far away from the right-wing zealots of the Republican Party. I mean, very, very far away. The GOP has been run by fanatics in recent years who have betrayed the more libertarian vision the party *used* to have. Any candidate with an R needs to prove they don't walk with the Bush Family in order for me to even give them a look.

No that's a poor theory. The Persian pipsqueak could be escorted to the UN, allowed to provide his rant, then escorted back to the airport, positioned on his plane and ordered to depart straight away.

My gut feeling is I don't trust him. I have nothing to base that on, I just don't. Experience isn't always the best judge either. You can all the experience in the world and still be incompetent.

He committed adultery . I do like what he has to say , but he is carrying to much baggage .

If it was him or Hillary I would. But personally I prefer someone who is more socially conservative. What he did with NY crime rates was awesome though.
