my aol safety security center won't work right says i have multipul firewalls installed and i need to get rid of them before it will work .any useful help will do

You prob. have mcafre sucrity on your comptuer.. How to delte any firewall on your comptuer:
Click on the Start Button
Click on Control Panel
Click on ad. remove programs.
There will be the list of all of your programs on your computer (we'll most of them)
Look for the firewall it's talking about and click romove.
Should be it!

If you are using DSL your modem/router may have a built in Firewall. You also have the XP SP2 Firewall. I am sure this is what it is referring to.
You can't get rid of them. You can turn them off. Go in the Control Panel>Security Center>Windows Firewall>dot the radio button to turn it off.
For you Routers built in you will need to enter the settings and turn it off.
I do not recommend you turning off either of these, but, it's your computer and choice.

If you are running on Windows XP then you have that firewall running. Disable that to run your aol firewall software.

if you have an antivirus software it may have one as well so it is your choice of which one to run but it really doesnt matter
