The Serpent: "If you eat of the fruit you surely shall not die. You shall be as gods."

The snake told no lie; all it did was mention that the fruit will NOT kill Eve or Adam if eaten. Humans were cast out for disobeying the command of God, not because they gained knowledge (although, you COULD see it that way.) The first lie was told by Cain after he murdered his own brother.

First lie, told to God, "You shall be the One and Only. Others call you by many names: Singularity, Lord, God, etc. You shall have infinite power, that none, including yourself, can comprehend. Your birth coincides with Big Bang, and your domain stretches to the far reaches of the Universe. The Universe will expand . . . . and the expansion reflects your limitless (infinite) nature."
"And let no man pry into the secrets of the Universe."

Traditionally speaking, the serpent in the Garden of Eden misled Eve about the consequences of eating the fruit from the Tree of Life.
Realistically, your guess is as good as mine.

the first lie ever told involved Lucifer and Eve. Lucifer was the one doing the lying, and Eve was listening.

Lucifer told Eve that to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil would make her like God himself.(Genesis 3:5) Of course this is not what happened, but Eve believed that snake Satan.

and the effects of this decision are shown in our sin nature. i'm sure you already know this, because you basically show this in your question.
