I am attending a New York Rangers/Buffalo Sabres game in Madison Square Garden. As ticket prices have risen around the NHL, I figure some of the rowdier fans will have been priced out of the market, but everyone knows that MSG isn't one of the more hospitable rinks for visiting fans.

Will I be taking my life into my hands by cheering for the Sabres?

No. You will be fine. You can wear a Jersey and be fine. It is an upscale crowd you will have no problems. I may not go to Philly however if I were you.

Im a ranger fan, do no longer in elementary terms like the devils.. yet i wouldnt %. on anybody in a nj jersey.. it relies upon completely on whos there. If somebody does make a huge deal out of it merely combat decrease back, its your team besides. maximum Ranger followers hate the devils so i see the place your going.. even though it's going to be ok. so yeah, flow forward & cheer..

Yes, esp. if you wear a Sabres jersey.

By the way, all NYers just call it the Garden never MSG (that's either the TV network or stuff in Chinese food).

P.S. To the "only if you wear a make Beliefs jersey" answerer...huh? Not only are the Laffs a non-entity to NYR fans, they barely register outside the border areas as a "threat."

Fans go to their opponent's buildings with their jerseys on all the time. It's nothing new. You'll be fine.
