I'm only 16, so I won't have kids until at least the 2010s.

But if and when I do, these are the names I want to consider (for girls) - which do you think will come back? Not that I care if they're popular or not.

Melanie nn "Mel"
Tamara nn "Tammy"
Audrey (no nn) - this is sort of coming back now

My favorite is Tamara/Tammy, but I'm not sure the mother would agree with it.

what if you have a boy?

anyways, I love the name tamara, but tammy is a little too '90's. and melanie... well that reminds me of someone I hate so its not really a name I like. I like the name audrey too. the best names are names that fit any age.
like the name Bobby is good for a little boy, but not for a man... same with billy, but then once the person grows up, you call him bill or bob. those names fit any age.

Gretchen Eve-no i imagine Gretchen is a harsh trashy call. Eve is gorgeous. Bernadette Rose-No. i don't love it. Irene Melody-more effective than the different ones, yet nonetheless no. purely not in love with it. And hate the nicknames. Dorothea Belle-i might want to apply Thea. Dorothea is purely weird and wonderful. Willa Haley-not female sufficient. i appreciate uber female names Florence Isla-no. Lucinda faith-no. Dated names i might want to used. Vivian Sophia-i in my opinion am utilizing this one. Adelaide Ava Annette Beatrice Carlotta Celia Clara Cora Edith Eloise Etta Hazel Ivy Jane Meredith Vera All of those names are appealing.

if you like a name for your child it doesnt really matter what you name them aslong as you both agree on the name you will be fine, if you have a name that you really want for your child (when the time comes) explain to your partner y you like that name and what it means to you and she mite agree with you. you have a long time yet to decide what you like your only 16 and you shouldnt be thinking about children you should be thinking about finishing school doing what you want to do in your life getting a job that is going to be enough money for you and your family and the right time comes along. so dont worry about children yet enjoy your life.
