I'm with you on the starters and many of the bench. But what about Oscar Robertson and John Stockton? Stockton over Nash anyday and the Big O over Vince, Dwight or Shawn.

One prerequisite I have when I make a dream team line-up is that I had to have seen these players actually play. With that in mind, I'd go with Earvin "Magic" Johnson at the point guard position; Michael Jordan at shooting guard; Scottie Pippen at small forward; Larry Joe Bird at power forward; and Hakeem Olajuwon at center.
Off the bench, I would also have Dwayne Tyrone Wade, Steve Nash, and Shawn Marion. I'd also include 90's Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, Jason Kidd, 90's Grant Hill, Tim Duncan, Allen Iverson, Dirk Nowitzki, Walter Ray Allen, and the effective duo of Karl "The Mailman" Malone and John Stockton.
Hope this was able to help.

First of all, 16 guys! An NBA team has 12. And MJ and Lebron as forwards? Who is going to rebound then...just Shaq?
Anyway, I assume I am constructing a "team" to win not a group of all-stars so here's mine:
C--Bill Russell
PG--Magic Johnson
SG--MJ
SF--Bird
PF--Barkley
bench
C--Tim Duncan
G--Cousy, Big O, Frazier
F--Baylor, Havlicek, Dr. J
