There are hacker tools out there that can crack a WEP wifi network. WEP is a flawed encryption scheme and can be broken in minutes by someone who knows what they are really doing.

WPA is a far more secure wifi scheme and is suggested.

To use someone elses WEP encrypted wifi network, just ask them for the password, then enter that into your computer's wifi setup when trying to connect to their network.

with permission from the owner of the wifi you can try an application called Kiswin. It sniffs packets from the wifi connection and cracks the encryption. i think it only works for wep encryption .

You cant.

WEP (Wireless Encryption Protection) is whats preventing you from accessing that wifi connection; and unless you intend to break the law, just like breaking an entering, i suggest you dont :)

Try starbucks or McDonalds, easily accessible wifi hotspots, although you dont have the comfort of your couch.

i will't see the way it fairly is plausible, the wep (or different) bypass secret is a lengthy digit code make of letters and numbers, of which there are thousands of combos to crack, and the reason they exist is for the reason you reported... human beings gaining community get proper of entry to without protection. Safari is only an information superhighway browser like firefox or IE (also available for some phones). Are you constructive he not only having you on? possibly some one informed him the code for the shaggy dog tale or he only looked at your router once you weren't searching (the wep secret is oftentimes on a decal on the router) ...or possibly your router's protection settings are grew to develop into off, to discover this out you'd be desiring the ebook that got here with it for training on a thanks to get proper of entry on your router through your pc. ....Or he's a fantastically intelligent youngster who has wrote (or downloaded) a code runner software to run through all plausible codes (fantastically not likely)

You get the password or key from the network administrator. If you "crack" the code, you are stealing.
