First it sounds like you already understand that there are many types of attorneys, that you need to find an attorney who specializes in your kind of case. The answer depends on what you will be suing the bank for... did you lose money? That could be personal injury. Did they fire you without merit? That would require an employment lawyer. You should check a site that outlines and defines the different types of lawyers like this one: http://www.thedigitalbeat.com/thelegalbeat.html

Turn the paperwork over to the insurance company, and send a letter to the lawyer for the other driver/witness that you have sent the papers to your insurance company. Your insurance company's lawyers will handle the matter from that point. The other driver and lawyer are not to contact you again regarding this matter. You must keep in contact with the insurance company, sending them the police reports and hospital reports. The truck that caused the collision disappeared. You did not cause the collision, someone else forced your vehicle to hit a third vehicle. The other vehicle's owner/driver has a claim against you for the damage your vehicle caused his vehicle. You in turn have a claim against the truck that ran the stop sign - but the truck is nowhere to be found. That is why you have insurance - to protect your interests when other people cause you harm, or cause you to cause harm to others by hitting your vehicle into their vehicle. Do not worry about the lawsuit, let the insurance company handle it. It is more important to get healed now.
