My crown has broken in two now whats left of the tooth has a sharp edge that keeps poking my cheeks and tongue and my throat is startong to hurt.I can't barely swallow I haven't eating in 2 days the dentist gave amoxicillin and pain meds and told me to come back in 1 week What would happen if I pulled or wiggled it until it came off,of Can a dentist remove the tooth anyway but just say alot sooner like tomorrow?

yes he can and he can put a temporary one until the one that they fits u perfect is made, just keep complaining that it hurts they'll listen..

You need to have your dentist either remove it or at least sand it down so you don't get hurt! He should have done this already. I do not think that the broken crown caused the sore throat though. Unless you swallowed the broken pieces and cut yourself. If you pull it off yourself, you might have sensitivity problems. (Hot or cold.) But it will not kill you. You must get it replaced soon after or you run the risk of decay in the stump. Good luck, and see a medical doctor for the throat. He will be better able to treat you.
