When I was dating, the guys usually asked at the end of the first date. If he didn't, I would ask. I would say something like, "I had a nice time and I was wondering if we could get together again". I always got a good response of yes, but there were a few no's.
These days a guy doesn't mind if a girl asks him out.
Here's a tip:
If the guy says he'll call you and acts fidgety, take it with a grain of salt because he won't.
Try to ask him first as I said above to ease your mind.

They normally ask you the night of the first date. but if their young teens its possible they will call you later for a second date.

Call a couple days later, unless you are some loser who never really gets action. If you call too sonn you are desperate.
