Well, it's already changing! Now Bush and Cheney are backpedaling off their "full speed ahead" talk re: Iraq. Now they're talking about "no one being happy with the situation," and "needing a fresh perspective"! Finally Rummy is out (let's see how Aggie man does in his place). We've got the FIRST woman Speaker of the House - third in line to the presidency - the first time that a woman has been in such a position of power. Maybe now stem cell research can be treated with more respect and considered for all the good it can do in the world. Maybe now all the talk of "either you're with us or against us" will fade into the background of a really botched-up 6 years of history. Maybe now this country can be a bit more balanced and fair.

Excited to see how '08 turns out!

I believe that not much will change except the 2003 tax cuts will expire. This will mean a massive increase in taxes to small businesses and a slowing economy. Since the Democrats won election with Blue Dog Democrats, the more radical elemnts of the left won't be able to gain critical mass to force on us their agenda.

not at all. Bush will veto anything good for America. Democrats don't have the 2/3 needed to over ride the veto. They will not raise taxes. They could try to recend the tax cuts for the top one percent but Bush will never let them..

The government will get bigger as they want to control=higher taxes. Smaller defense budget=poorly equipped military. Welfare & abused disability will become rampant again. No break from our dependance on foreign fuel, illegal immigrants will be allowed to stay and collect benefits even though they did not contribute. We will become FRIENDS with terrorists. Embroytic stem cell research will become accepted they won't be happy just using existing stem cells.

It will not change a thing...The rich will get richer the poor...... etc.etc.etc..... Oh there will little blips in earnings for the middle class. But that will be all..

Most people don't / won't accept that our way of life (the USA) is doomed..

By 2050 the planet will be OUT OF OIL... OUT OF FISH... OUT OF CLEAN WATER... OUT OF TREES...etc.etc.etc.

You should watch VERY Carefully the pictures of 3rd. world countries.. That's where the US is headed... The rich will still be rich. The rest of you (I will be dead by then) will be begging for food / water...

1. Raise taxes
2. Defund the war on terror.
3. Spend hundreds of hours in hearings that do not matter, on things that cannot be changed.
4. Eliminate tax cuts (aka tax increases)
