Well..... I tend to cry when something bad happen's to a child. Maybe it's because I'm a mom and I can relate with the parent. Just like in the movie Pay it Forward. It was sooo sad. I also cried with Term's of Endearment and Steel Magnolia's.

Life experiences:
Growing up without a father, anything that has the father/son interaction actually gets to me. Call me nuts, but even "Liar, Liar" got to me a bit.
Big Daddy: same example there.
Movies when there's a "good father" will get to me as well....good advice given etc....
My wife had to watch her sister give still birth earlier this summer. On Grey's Anatomy this past Thursday, the episode contained this. My wife was greatly affected by it.

I was adopted at birth and when I saw the Truman Show with Jim Carrey with a former friend of mine I cried when the Truman's best friend sat at the beach with him and told him he would never lie to him. Later that year I bought the DVD and cried like a baby while remembering my former friend who watched it in the theatre lying to me about being adopted.

I always cry at sad movies. My boyfriend laughs at me because he thinks I am a wuss...I don't care... I do it anyways... I think it is because I am a girl...
