It is possible you got a second round from someone else. However, generally 7-10 days is what it takes.
If infected you may have horrid yellow or green mucus. In any case, a fast trip to clinic may give you an idea as to the problem, if it is more or less than a mere cold.

If you have had a cold for more than two weeks ,then you should see your GP because it could be something more serious. Don't take chances , better to be safe than sorry.

It is possible that you have allergies instead of a cold. Some allergies mimic the symptoms of a cold.

It takes 2 weeks to recover from a cold! so that's about right, drink 2l of fluid per day, take paracetamol (carefully do not ever exceed 4g per day) and look after yourself!

Your immune system is having trouble fighting it off. Are you drinking tons of water? Are you avoiding sugar? Are you eating a lot of dairy? Are you sleeping well? Stuff like this matters. Also try to take these incredible herbs: Echinacea, Astragalus, Lomatium, Goldenseal. They are incredible!!!

Is 2 weeks too long or too short? You don't give us a clue.
Also, not being a cold virus, I really can't tell you.

its likely to be a lack of vitamins and minerals in your diet.
you need a lot when you are ill.
you need a good deal more than usual.
don't rely on supplements, they are not enough as your body doesn't absorb all of it (though non-cheap multi-vitamins tablets are good to take as well as eating healthily).
eat lots of fruit and veg (without drinking at the same time as it impairs digestion).
also, don't eat or drink anything within 30 Min's (before and after) of eating fruit (for it to sufficiently digest).
plus stay well hydrated (drink plenty of water), and get plenty of sleep.
get well soon : )
