UCLA has more basketball national championships than any other school in the nation. UConn currently has the most former players playing in the NBA, followed by the University of Arizona. As far as academics and athletitics, Stanford is the best university for both academia and sports. Any serious baller needs to consider the system and the coach before he chooses. You need to find the best coach and program to make you the best student athlete possible. Duke probably has the best coach, but they don't make many great pro players. If I could choose any program, i would go to Stanford. You get a first class education and get to play ball.

Everyone knows Duke, and it's probably the best basketball program in the country. There are many other schools like Uconn, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, and Syracuse that have great traditions, but in terms of learning the game and recognition, Duke is the best.
