Does Magnetic Paint really work? I would like to try magnetic primer under chalk paint. Has anyone tried this? If so, how many coats of each Magnetic primer and chalk paint do I need. I'm doing 32 sq feet. Thanks

We used in in my duaghter's room, and it doesn't work very well. If you really want a magnetic surface, I'd suggest just putting up a magnetic board.

the Chalk paint might be too thick to allow the magnetic properties to work. You can't hang a tire rim on a magnetic wall. it is for novelty use. I would apply the paint to some scrap wood and see if it will work. It is a neat idea.
