whats more amazing is 5 of them have under 9 mil population. Oh yeah rutgers fans, NJ/NY not in the top ten.

I don't have any stats on this so please let me know how I did. Common sense would say that Florida and Texas would be 2 big NFL contributors. Same with Ohio and Pennsylvania for the north. The fact that 20% of our country's population lives in California would mean that they have to be in the top 10. So that leaves 5 others. I will try to rule out states with real small populations even though you have already said that there are a few of them under 9 mil. How about Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma, Illinois, Washington State?

Those are my guesses but I will throw in honorable mentions to Michigan, Indiana, Nebraska, Tennessee, N Carolina , Alabama,
Misouri & Mississipi

considering rutgers/syracuse are the only major teams from those areas I'm not surprised. Florida, California, and Texas should all be in the top 5 i believe. Pennyslvania and Ohio I think are the other two are the remaining states under 9 mil. Viriginia has always been big on football, and Alabama has produced pretty well I believe.
