From what I've been told, it was taken from a teacher they had in school whose name was Leonard Skinnard (forgive my spelling errors in the name, I really don't know how it was spelled...), but they changed the spelling so he couldn't sue or whatever.
That's just what I gathered from my dad. I ask him one question and he spends 45 minutes explaining it to me, haha.

It was their gym teacher from their Jacksonville high school. He gave them a hard time because they had long hair.
