It depends on how much a person's salary is, and if their a saver or not. I personally don't care about the cost if it's a jacket I just have to have. I look for quality before anything, but the style of the jacket has to be very different from the norm if i'm going to really spend money on it. $100.00 is a good price to spend on a jacket if you have the money for it. Always remember that jackets that are on sale for less are still the same value as the price it was before it went on sale or clearance. It's just marked lower that's all. I always look for sales or clearance first, but if I have to have it then i'll buy it if I have the money.

Assuming it's a good brand, 100 sounds just about right, actually. I've found jackets on sale that I've bought for less, but that's different. Sometimes, if a certain style of jacket's "in" that I know won't be cool next season, then I'll spend less than 100 because I know I won't be wearing it very long. But if I want a good jacket to last a little while, I'll spend 100. For a good wool coat, I'd spend more--I love JCrew's coats, and they run around 150.

I don't think I would go more than $100 unless it was a really super jacket but only if it appeared to be worth the price but never over $150. Check out jackets by London Fog.

$100 is fine if it is a nice leather jacket, coming from a good retailer (read - not Wal-Mart or Target). In fact, I would say $100 is a little cheap for a really nice jacket. I would pay up to $175. Would make a great Christmas gift for someone to buy you.

That is probably a good price for one because jackets are not cheap. If you don't have the money go to the goodwill or thrift stores sometimes you find really nice things for very inexpensive.

Depends on your budget and how much you will use it. On my budget, I would buy an awesome jacket (not coat) for a maximum of 60 dollars. If it was a winter coat, I would pay up to 120 dollars.
