I was running down a hall towards the end of the stairs, on the side of the stairs there is this bench which I cracked my knee into when I took the turn too close. Now I have a weird bruise on my kneecap and I can feel a line where it hurts the most, could it be broken or anything? I can walk on it, I just cant bend it without pain. It feels ok when Ive had it in one position for a while but when I try to move it after that it hurts really bad. So! any ideas? serios answers only please.

I think that you probably need to head out for an xray hon. It's the only thing that will let you know for sure. If it is broken, there are different ways of treating it depending on the seriousness of the fracture.

It sounds like you've fractured your kneecap.
You really need to see a doctor ASAP & have it X-rayed to know for sure. You'll probably be advised to stay off your leg for awhile, so be prepared.
In the meantime, you can use cold packs & take OTC pain relievers for the pain. Ibuprofen would be best, if you can tolerate it.
Good luck to you.

Yes, you can fracture your kneecap. Ice it the keep the swelling down. There isn't much that can be done to fix it, though. Rest, Ice, Compression(applying pressure), Elevation. Elevation is about resting with your leg idle and up(at the same level as you hip).

good grief honey that must of hurt i think you should ice it at night 20 min with the ice on and 40 min with the ice off and wrap it up during the day so you cant bend it were it hurts real bad and i think you should consider going to see the doc if that knee doesnt get better pretty soon.
