Because many have travelled the path earlier and you , too, are not going to get anywhere , if you take that path. It can be adventurous but , may be unwise.
WHY? is a more welcome question and will evince answers. WHYNOT puts you on the confrontation path. When you were a kid "whynot" was more inquisitive. Now, why will be more knowledge seeking.
