deal with it you get what you get. there are some medical procedures availble that cost a few thousand dollars although its hard to find them. there are laws in some coutnries banning this practise as they fear an uneven balance of male female ratio...since some cultres really want male babies...and some cultres promote male babies (china is currently dealing with this probably as a result of their one child policy and the increase in aborting female babies so parents can try again for a male baby. nature picks the right gender...if left to us humans there will be a large disruption in the ratio of male to female...so you get what you get.

Yes you can its called an embryo screening procedure and it was invented for the purpose of identifying embryos that carry serious, often fatal, genetic diseases.
But these days, it's being used for something very different and that's to help couples choose the sex of their child.
The procedure, however, isn’t easy. It requires that even fertile couples go through in vitro fertilization the process in which the woman’s egg is fertilized with the man’s sperm in a lab dish to create embryos. then couple of days later they will extract one cell from the embryos..Doctors then implant only the embryos the couple wants.. female embroys or male embroys.. and it is expensive as **** around 18,000 - 20,000 dollars... CBS news did a big story on this.. check out their archives maybe you can read about it there but if you are really interested the procedure is called embryo screening !!!! good luck

For $15.95 you could by a book called "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby", which explaines the Sheetles method. It's not as much medical, as it is careful planning, but it has a success rating of 75%-90%, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
As for some of the answers, you should be ashamed of yourselves, honestly. You have no right to judge her, even if you don't approve of what she wants to do. Even I don't approve, but I believe she has her reasons for asking, and I can respect that. Besides, "letting nature take it's course" is nothing but a bunch of random factors, which can be altered simply by having sex in a specific way, by (the woman) having an orgasm, etc. Once you've understood the basic principles of it, you'd see that nature really doesn't give a damn.

There are some procedures that do that but they are outrageously expensive.
Why would you ever want to decide the sex of your baby. There are some things that should just be left up to nature and that is one of them. If you are going to care that much about the sex of your baby then maybe you should rethink having a child, you should want and love whatever sex you get.

There is something but it's very expensive. That is sexist. You get, what you get. Just pray that your baby is healthy.
