It takes itself seriously, but I don't necessarily think its too lax or serious. I just think Yahoo! answers believes its much more useful than it really is. That's why I like asking silly questions and playing around on here. Getting good answers is a stroke of luck, sometimes, especially when people give the wrong advice from what they believe are reliable sources.

Too lax. People ask the most asinine questions, and I don't exclude myself. I've asked some serious eye-rollers! But I think it makes it fun that it can be lax as well as serious. We are not solving the great philosphical questions of the age here anyway, so it hardly matters, IMHO. You have an excellent day yourself!

I find it sways back and forth between the two. On one day everyone is asking serious questions or b!tching about those asking silly ones then next time I'm on you can't seem to find anyone being serious. Of course I prefer the later. Far to much seriousness in the real world, this is for fun.
