Only 5 favourite restaurants come to mind:

My favourite restaurant is a little diner I stopped in one night in Reno, Nevada. The waitress ignored me although there were only 1-2 customers. Finally after about 15 minutes, I called out to her and asked for a menu. She quickly retorted in a sarcastic voice "Get one yourself!". I looked at the other customers who didn't bat an eye. I was ready to order and told her my order. She continued to be rude to me and began to insult me. I finally just ate my food and was sitting there perturbed, looking at the others, and finally someone came over to me and told me about the restaurant. I found out this restaurant is KNOWN for how rude and insulting it's waitresses are! That people purposefully come there to be insulted!

The second restaurant was also in Reno, Nevada. It was called the "Squeeze In" and located downtown near the pawn shops and casinos. The aisles between tables were so narrow, the waitresses and customers practically had to walk sideways just to get into the restaurant! Despite it being a restaurant extremely limited on space, with customers practically eating on top of one another, the food was absolutely marvelous!

The third restaurant is located in Jennings, Louisiana. It is called "Ruth's Cafe". Ruth is a grey haired widow who runs the little cafe with 3-4 tables and a counter all by herself. She makes the best biscuits with honey in the whole South. Her coffee is to die for. And best of all, there is nothing better than eating breakfast or lunch getting to see Ruth!

The fourth restaurant is located on highway 90 just north of New Iberia, Louisiana. They serve crawfish when in season and there are sinks in the middle of the restaurant where one can wash his hands, as the butter runs down your arms when you eat crawfish!

The fifth restaurant was located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Many years ago I went there on a date to this french restaurant. There was a coat clerk who took your coat and you were seated. Numerous courses were served - at first fresh grapes on a plate, and then on to bigger and better courses. Finally during the main course of the meal, the Chef himself came out into the dining room. He had a grey hair, beard & mustache, and was wearing a red tuxedo with white ruffled shirt. He had a violin and played to a spellbound audience, who had not expected entertainment.
