We are considering putting a hanging pot rack in our kitchen. Has anyone installed one of these? And if so, how complicated is it? I'm worried about installing it so that it bear the weight of the pots.

Unless you plan on installing it directly into the studs in the ceiling, make sure you get the largest toggle bolts that the hardware store has,as these will hold up to a couple hundred pounds. Also, make sure you get them long enough. You'll need to go through the thickness of your rack, plus the thickness of the drywall in the ceiling,in order for them to work properly. Oh,just in case you don't know, the drywall in a ceiling is 3/8,but because its a kitchen, it's probably green-wall and 1/2 inch.

i installed many......u need to find ur ceiling joist.....dont trust these " toggle bolts and mollies" u will hate it later.....adjust ur chain to the "eye" hooks that u will screw into the ceiling joist....i use the 4" eye bolts.......screw them all the way in up to the sheetrock ceiling and leave about 1/4" of the hook from touching this is where the chain will slip in...
