i feel the team work and Lara's captaincy is the foremost factor.
Everyone has chipped in see Gayle, Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Morton, Lara with the bat. Even batters like Samuels and Dwayne Smith , who struggle for form with the bat have bowled their heart out. They have spirited bowlers like Bradshaw and Colleymore .
And Jerome Taylor and Fidel Edwards for pace. Any thoughts??

After every fall there is rise. Lara's career is in its last stages. The batsmen are going through their purple patch and soon they would vanish. In the WC 2007, you would not find WI in the limelight.

hi all
well i must say that west indian sucess in the one day format of the game should not b seen as a surprise!! wst indies has never ben a bad one day team!! even in thier worst days..they had won sizeable number of ODIs...well the recent performance does have some obvious resons...n laras captaincy is the most obvious one..howver... the inclusion and presnce of sir clyve lloyd who is the father figure in west indies cricket also helped the matters alot...their strength is thier batting...no one ever had any doubts on the quality n class of thier batting line up...its thier bowling that has led them down in the recent past....another vital reason in my view is that one day games dont need a lot of application from the bowlers side..if u have good enough batsmen..u can win it 4 ur team...n thats the case with WINDIES...its the batsmen who have won them the games...not the bowlers...and that is the reason why west indies fail in test matches...coz they dont have the bowling line up 2 bowl out the oppponets twice...they simply dont have good enough bowlers 2 tak 2o wickets!!! n thats y i still believe...west indies is not a good test side...while they r there at the top in the on day arena courtesy thier batsmen

I fully agree with you. Further, the players are showing more maturity in their approach to the game.
