I'm not exactly sure what point you're trying to make with this, but if you read your Bible, God gives an entire list of reasons for destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. Among them are divorce, pedophilia, polygamy, promiscuity, and homosexual behavior.

According to the teachings of the Bible, it is wrong for us to engage in casual sexual behavior. Sex should be within the confines of LOVE. He destroyed the two cities because NONE were righteous. They had allowed sex to separate them from God. However, please remember that (if you're trying to make the point I think you're trying to make) that there were FAR more heterosexual men and women than homosexual men and women.

because he told Saul if he could find one person, just one that was not sinful that he would not destroy the city but Saul could not. When God destroyed the cities he tole Saul to bring his wife and to not look back or they would be turned into a pilar of salt. but his wife looked back, don't we always want to? And she was turned int a pilar of salt for disobeying God. The cities were destroyed because the cities were so full of sin. God could not let it go on. He had to destroy the cities. Saul begged him not to and God made the deal with him but, not one person could be found that was not acting in sin. That's my interpretation anyhow.

God destroyed the two cities because the people were doing everything they were not supposed to do...they were sinning in every way possible.... they were gambling, partying, pre marital sex, idolozing different Gods, they were not talking about having sex with the angels...they were talking about raping them. They fell completely away from God. They ignored him at everything he told them to do.

I don't remember much about the Bible, but didn't God destroy them because they weren't hospitable, as they should have been?

Or, some people cite homosexuality as the sin. It's sort of a debate over interpretation.

According to the Bible, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for its wickedness. If you are trying to incite something with the homosexuals, I would like to suggest that you try a question that hits closer to home, like genital warts. That's a much more sensitive subject for them than God, since most of them could care less about religion but can't seem to get enough promiscuity.

Six thumbs down already? See, I struck more of a chord than YOU did, Christian boy!

Because according to the bible they were consumed by sin and had given into lust. In other words they had sex with anything that moved. You shouldn't concern yourself with fictional cities.

It was the Wal Mart Super Centers in the suburbs that destroyed the cities.

Being inhospitable to those different than them was the crime of both Sodom and Gomorrah....sound familiar?
