Although I now watch Fox's American Dad religiously I missed literally the very first episode, how ever many years ago that was, so, how did the alien, Roger, living with them come about?

So why do they have to hide him?

In a flash back episode, Stan was chasing the alien, and somehow got knocked out. The CIA was going to throw a grenade in there, so Roger grabbed Stan and threw them both down a chute, saving Stan's life. I can't recall if he hid in Stan's car, or if Stan voluntarily took him home - but he never turned him in because he saved his life.

They hide him because he's an alien, and Bullock (Stan's boss) would probably fire Stan for aiding and abetting a UFO.

All I hear and is Paul Lynde, the overdue comedian that used to play uncle Arthur on "Bewitched" and turn into the middle sq. on "Hollywood Squares". this is his voice that Seth MacFarlane is imitating. In real life he turn into gay as a picnic basket so i think he could be happy to hearken to you're saying which you think of he appears like a Dick. .
