How do I use the minus in front of a number on the comptuer I key do I use to get the- if I use the regular - it don't put it at the top of beside the number

OK, first the math question: 3y/4 = -60. Start by multiplying both sides by 4: 3y = -240. Then divide both sides by 3: y = -80.

As for the minus sign, I just use the one on the computer. What do you mean by "it dont put it at the top of beside the number"? When I was in school we wrote minus signs about halfway up the number, like the computer does it.

3y/4 = -60
3y = -60*4
3y = -240
y = -80

divide both sides by 4
you get 3y = -15
divide both sides by 3
you get y=-5
