which one's better? more reliable?

Having work for both company very recently (changed from BMW to mercedes 4ths ago.), i can tell you that they are pretty much exactly the same. each brand will have their fair share of lemons, bad models and electrical problems, but they are both sensationally engineered motor vehicles and they both wouldnt be regarded as the best in the world if one was worse than the other. it comes down to which specific models you are looking at as some have bad reps and others have good ones, but when it comes down to it, i love them all!!!!

The "Best of the Best" is the Mercedes-Benz! Until the past couple of years BMW hasn't had many a person admiring its looks, nor admiting it is superior to Mercedes . The track record of Mercedes is dominant,one can't say coming into 2nd place (BMW) is worse. Look's aren't everything, it's what's inside that count's! Engineered/quality/maint. and resale value......Benz Rocks!

most definitely a mercedes benz because a benz has better handling.. it goes really fast depending on what model you get.. we have a 06 mercedes benz SL55 AMG Roadster. mercedes benz is an all around better car than a mercedes. there isn't anything out there like a benz, i believe it is gorgeous luxury vehicle.. bmw's are really not that great at all. mercedes benz are more reliable than bmw.

I have a BMW, and have rented mercedez many times. Mercedez are somewhat identical, although Beamers have better speed, acceleration, and handling. Plus, there are few Mercedez that turns heads, with a beamer, theres always at least 1 wide-eyed person veiwing the ride. :D

Over the years, I have had both. I think the MB is better and safer car. But, they have had a lot of electrical problems over the past few years. BMW, includes all service and maintenance on their vehicles which will save you a lot of money. I like the ergonomics and handling of the BMW better, but find the MB to be a more solid car. Bottom line, they are both good cars and choose whichever you feel more comfortable with.

Hard call, depends on models, years. What outlasts a Benz Diesel though? The pyramids maybe! :-) I love both, but I lean toward Mercedes. Maybe it's the history and the prestige. Oh yes..they are built like a BANK VAULT. Yeah...Benz for me!

I am a mercedes lover, but I would have to go with beemer with realiability and less costly repairs, mercedes are very expensive with electrical problem and not worth the money sometimes. I hardly see any beemers in the shop only very old ones like 88-91. I see a lot of mercedes.

The BMW is the best buy - MB lose there value to quick and are for old slow drivers - the BMW is more sporting and even looks the BEST

I lived in Germany for 4 years and have owned both, I can tell you BMW is no wheres in the same class as a mercedes..... BMW is the same as a chevy. Get a Mercedes. :)
