ok now here is some truth for you. Global warming is a THEORY nothing more, it has not been proven. an ALL the scientists do not agree. more than half do not agree and because of that they do not get media coverage. That is why all you hear is global warming on the news because it gets ratings. Many, many scientists agree this is a phase, the earth has wamring periods and cooling periods, we just now are getting out of a cooling period. every here of the "year without a summer" in the 1770's. that was the height of the cooling period. if you look back further in the 1300's it was hotter then, than it is now according to historical evidence. Volcanoes produce almost 10 times the green house gasses then humans produce per year. Nature is not this fragiel little thing like all the libs want you to believe, its very tough and adaptive it recycles many of the wastes we produce but also many of the wastes itself produces which in comparison to ours is infintismal. I agree we should not be reckless and find better, cleaner and more efficient ways to do things. If you want the truth, yes global warming is true, the "globe" is "warming" but not because of the Dodge Diesel you drive, but because its a cycle and in a few centuries it will begin to cool again. Most people here never heard of what these very same scientists were saying in the 70's. the same people screaming about global warming were do the same thing about "global cooling" in the 1970's and some suggested we put coal soot on the ice caps to gather heat from the sun to melt them. Look it up, its true. So before you goes starting going nuta about this global warming farse, do your homework instead of believing everything you hear on the ratings driven news everynight.

If what is being said about climate change as a result of our way of life is true then the Gulf stream may slow down or even stop in which case global warming will never hit New York City New York.
The whole 'global warming' idea is a matter of just a few degrees centigrade.
This might mean that the fall colors come a lot later in the fall and the winter rains may or may not come at all ,
THe maple tree may not get cold enough and dye out in its southern range or if it survives its range will move to Canada.
Who knows what will happen. Maybe nothing much at all will happen and if there is much if any change in the weather as G.W.Bush said 'we'll adapt'.
To bad for those non-domesticated animals that don't adapt.
It's just their fault for not adapting like the cock roach or the rat to living with humans.
There is one thing that is true no matter where you are on the issue and that is :
WE LIVE ON A PLANET ! Duh !
IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT UNINHABITABLE !

THERE IS NOT ANOTHER PLANET LIKE IT FOR AT LEAST 4.5 LIGHT YEARS. Double Duh !

Why not ask Al Gore....he seems to know EVERYTHING about global warming. Oh, except how to positively prove it.
Back in 1970 on the 1st Earth Day all the leading scientist were convinced that we were headed for a second ICE AGE in 100 years. Well I was a senior in high school at the time and now 36 years the so called "leading scientis" are certain about global warming.
Remember how scientis have told us that eggs, alcohol, coffee...are 100% bad for us? Then oops....they come out a few years or even months later with different conclusions.

I don't understand why you Republicans want to even bring it up .
ALL leading Scientists agree that the earth is warming and mostly due to the burning and releasing of fossil fuels.
If indeed you guys would take the time to research this issue maybe you could force your own party to take the subject matter more serious, cause apparently the vast majority in your party does not, despite the overwhelming evidence.
