There are hundreds of web sites for quilting fabrics....but the prices seem to be set the same. What website do you recommend for fabric sales????

I like to shop the discounted fabrics at Hancocks of Paducah. Prices start at $2.98 a yard. You can't always get exactly what you want - it is the discount "bin" after all - but I've always been able to find dozens of fabrics that I like. Shipping is reasonable, and they cut the fabric generously. It is sold in half yard increments (but off the bolt, so you get continuous pieces of fabric). The pricing is listed by half yard, so you'll see "$1.49" for a price instead of $2.98. Also, by buying discount fabric you might find yourself trying things you wouldn't normally - it's great for the creative process.

To find the discounted fabric, check at the left side of the page. You can look by brand or by theme (florals, 30's, etc) - just click on "Discounted Quilting Fabrics" under either Themes or Brands.

the fabric - I trust the previous. that's a question also of promotion. conceal shops promote to quilters, and promote tiers that compliment one yet another for unity in a conceal. I used costume fabrics really thankfully earlier. Quilting thread would nicely be a thick one for hand quilting, yet some are marked for both hand or device use. i come around the hand quilting threads really sensible also for stitching on buttons as they are really problematic.
