Or you still appreciate this person out of your office, being more sincere.
Example: you workship your boss for his power or his chores values...

It depends on the individual. Some people are attracted to power because they are aware that powerful people can get them up the corporate ladder. This does not mean that they see the powerful person as a friend. They may pretend to be friends for gain.

I choose my friends based on how they treat others. So whether they have power or not, if they treat others with love and respect, then surely they are a candidate for friendship.
